Natalie Lovell

What do you see when you Google your name? It can be interesting what information is associated with your name... I have already done this in previous blog posts on someone else. Check back in my February post Named Reputation (Sully). You can see that I found information on Dane through Facebook, Instagram, and Vine.
Lets just say I am at it again…  The lucky person that I was given this time is Natalie Lovell.

FACEBOOK     https://www.facebook.com/natalie.kay.lovell?fref=ts
I started with Facebook, first off we where not friends and I could only see her updated cover photos.  I went to the ‘About Her” section and she has either not updated anything or she has everything very secure to the outside world. She is in a group called ‘Murray Friends’ so I take it she is from Murray or somewhere close. With all the country music likes I can tell she is into that… Something we definitely don’t have in common. She likes a good chick flick such as ‘She’s The Man’.  Something we do have in common is the liking of the show the ‘Golden Girls’. I know that might be a little embarrassing to admit but I think it’s so funny with all the crude humor.  From the pictures I could see it looks like she has great parents and an older brother and a sister. There was a little girl sitting on your dads lap so she is either your parents surprise child like I was or she is one of your siblings child… or yours. Not wanting to jump to conclusions I will let your clear that up with me if you would like.

Nothing had changed too much besides more pictures where available to friends. So lets see what I found!
-For a group date you where G.I. Joes and G.I. Janes.
- For prom you either planned the black and white attire or your whole group decided to match!
-Your hair was shoulder length in some of the photos I seen.
- Megan Niebergall is one of your really close friends and she lives in Logan also (so maybe you both came up here to school)

TWITTER
Twitter is very new to you, looks like you signed up January 15, 2015. The reason you signed up was because of a usujcom2010 class. To me it looks likes you only tweeted about things that where relevant to your class.  You are following a whole 4 people that keep your news feed I’m sure short and very sweet… (I am not a huge fan of twitter and don’t use it that much, so no judgment)

INSTAGRAM
From what I could see was you had an updated picture with your little sister or… your child. You had no posts unless you have to be your friend to see the ones you do have. You followed 37 people and 38 where following you.  Dang that’s it- I was hoping to look at all your pictures and hash tags

LINKEDIN   https://www.linkedin.com/in/natalielovell
This was my most beneficial platform that I gathered most of my information from. Surprising to me because I thought Insta would have been my best tool.
         Education Background
·      Murray High- so I was correct with you being from Murray
·      Snow College- You attended right after high school. I attended Snow also and loved it. Small campus and town, but such an awesome peer group that can be created down there.
·      SUU – I have family in St. George, I love it down there with all the warm weather. You went on many hikes with friends I seen on Facebook and this must have been when.
·      USU- currently attending and looks like this is your last semester. You are going to do very well in public relations with all of the Internships and group leaderships you have accomplished.
We have one common connection and that is Gregory Kirkham.

I hope you found out some of the interesting things that can be seen by just stocking you online. We where not friends on any platforms before this activity although I did add you after I looked through each one, so I’m sure you knew who got your name! It was fun to see the things that we had in common like attending Snow College and watching the Golden Girls. I really don’t think that little girl is your child (just to clarify). I think you are a very driven individual who has a desire to succeed in every aspect of education.

Your Stalker Sincerely,

Dustin Call

Letter To Cousin.

Dear Computer Savvy Cousin,

Well as you can see I am still going strong with Social Media… Not only do I live on my phone I am writing about it also. I have been recently assigned to write a brief summary on what I think professional and technical communication is. We can all give an easy answer, communication. Yea, you might want a little more depth than that… Well professional communication is anything that might be brought up in a professional manner, setting, or group. Technical communication is anything that is how the communication is transferred, coded or sent information. Well now that you know this info you can go on with your day and tell a friend, so you can sound smart to. But before you do that just know that was a well educated guess.
So here is the deal I have found some quality material on the Internet to help me out with this material.
-Techinal Communication-
They do a really nice job defining what technical communication is so instead of me boring you, just go check it out yourself.  But note that those communicating this way are focusing on making the information usable and accessible.  Technical information is so broad but so helpful. Everyone who has social media platforms does this everyday as you post and comment information on your feed.
-Professional Communication-
This is speaking, listening, and writing of any form. This can be done inside and outside the workplace on any device or platform. (Simple definition for those who are reading through this fast) I know that I have used professional comm. In more than just a work setting but merely something I try to focus on all the time. You want to be taken seriously so make sure that you are professional so you can be taken seriously.

Summing both of those up they do go hand in hand with one another and are something that we rely on for basically every function in todays advanced technical age.

Technology in the Future

The House of Tomorrows Future
(You need to watch the youtube video- description below, before reading this)
What if everything could be controlled with the touch of your finger? What if your phone could be the remote to the whole house? Well that’s what is slowly happening. New things come to the market but nothing like “The house of the future”. The ordinary house uses high tech glass to make life easier.
The house uses ordinary surfaces such as counters, tables, fronts of fridges, windows and many other surfaces and transforms them into very sophisticated electronic devices. How would you like to wake up, get out of bed and touch the window in an upward motion and have the sun immediately shine in?
Corning is the world leader in specialty glass and ceramics using advanced technology to make this break through a reality. They have designed many off the edge products that are not even known to the market. They are all about thinner, sleeker, faster and smart products making your life even easier. Corning is a world leader in glass, they recently came out with the gorilla glass that is being used now with almost every phone  that has came out since 2012.
As cool as this may seem many question the price including me. In the video the whole house is a smart phone essentially and that makes many worried for the ones that cant afford it how they will get a piece of this great technology. For right now they are just partnering with other companies to use their glass but in the near future they want to have their own line which will lead to wiping out all other companies because we wont need them. If one product can do everything for us it will cut down the cost because you wont be paying other bills with all the fees and extra charges. Not only are they taking over the market they are making other companies loose business only giving us one option and that one option is to go with them, many customers worry about this because there will be no competition and literally have no right to choose what they want. The younger generation is all about this technology while the older generation is stuck in their ways and is not ready to get more advanced saying that we are loosing our motivation to do regular things and relying on technology to do everything.
The negative side of this technology may have a great impact but the pros that corning has on the market place are making people anticipate the world to come and the future to make technology virtually smarter. The video shows that your phone that is a piece of smart glass can help you do everything in your house like controlling lights, windows, sounds, and even your car. Once you set your phone down on the counter it transfers to the counter, say while your cooking. Not only can you use them at home they have made a kids notebook that can be used in school and the teachers can cut out the paper supply of homework and assignments.
Just a few things that could be cut out by using this product and making the amount of waste and garbage going down:
·      Markers, Pencils, Pens. Paper
·      Computer Monitors, Modems, Cords
·      Televisions, cell phones,
·      The amount of plastic, rubber and metal with the products above
(That is just a short list of millions of things that could be cut down)
AS you can see there are many pros and cons to this product, but for most the pros outweigh the cons. If you have not seen the video that Corning made you need to go watch it. They use this smart glass everywhere cutting the waste down of many sources. For me that is enough to forward this technology and bring the future into a reality, we need to bring this product to the market to help make our everyday life easier than many think it already is.
Here is the link on you tube to the Presentation that Corning is hoping to bring to us.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cf7IL_eZ38&feature=fvst There is also a second video showing how they could use this product in schools

Look at that APP

The world of Apps…

There are so many apps available in the app store, some originals and many duplicates of other apps that have gone big.  We all have the standard apps such as Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat,, Twitter, Pinterest, Vine, etc..

I mean what would our phones be without these apps? Have you ever thought about that? It would just be a device that we call an antique now, a brick phone.

In 2013 Apple did a study on the top apps downloaded, the results>
Candy crush Saga was the most downloaded free app has over 500 million downloads and has been played well over a 150 billion times.
THE TOP 10
1. Candy Crush Saga
2. YouTube
3. Temple Run 2
4. Vine
5. Google Maps
6. Snapchat
7. Instagram
8. Facebook

The top ten as you can see are all free.

But lets not forget about the custom apps. From 2011-2015 the mobile app market grew from 430 billion dollars to 620 billion dollars.
The market for Custom apps serves to facilitate hybrid enviorments, to serve niche/complex needs, Mobile app development and the traditional custom build app market.

I am glad that we live in a technologic world that is always advancing, but not fast enough for me. I am always on the search for new up and coming apps that are fun and interesting. If you know of any apps that you think others might not know about please comment which ones you like and why ?!

Viral Videos

I have a friend that I have gone to school with for many years. She is a talented young woman with a voice that I could listen to all day. She started out covering songs in high school and posting them on her social media platforms. After she posted some on YouTube she began to receive many views and comments/likes and shares. She was thrilled. Being the shy girl that she is, it was hard for her to receive so much attention. The more covers she did the more views she got. So she decided to cover current songs trending. The success was a hit. Working with artists in the mean time she was wrote her own song and made a small music video for it locally. It became a hit not only in the local community but L.A. Teen magazine did a post about her in their magazine and shared where to purchase her song. They did play it on a few radio stations for some time. You can now purchase it on ITunes, this I believe is the only song on there but she has been working on getting more on there. She has been contacted by many well known producers her main one being Warner Brothers.
Now that you know a little bit about her please look her up on ITunes an YouTube . Her name is Keiyana Osmond. Here is a link to Her Youtube Channel for you to check out and the ITunes link to purchase her song called Dancing On A Wire. This is her main song that has given her the most views of almost 110,000 views. She is so down to earth and trying to stay rooted through her music going viral.
